BB-8

The BB-8 Robot

BB-8 is a funny robot with a free-moving spherical dome-shaped head. It is white, with orange and silver accents and a black optical lens on its head piece.

The robot plays a prominent role in the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII "The Force Awakens".

Its popularity has encouraged manufacturers in the making of such robots.

The most notable version is of Sphero. This droid is about 11 cm high and can be controlled with a free app.

It makes BB-8 sounds via this app and can independently explore his environment.
